  Benson Hospital Pharmacy services blend a caring orientation with specialized therapeutic knowledge, experience, and judgment for the purpose of ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The pharmacy’s overall goal is to promote safe, accurate and appropriate use of medications for Benson Hospital patients and the our community in general.  

Services provided include:

  • Prospective review of medication therapy
  • Consultation in selection of therapy
  • Providing drug information for patients and providers
  • Formulation and preparation of medications
  • Pharmacokinetics/therapeutic drug monitoring for inpatients and outpatient care
  • Teaching and training for patients, providers and the community

The current pharmacist for Benson Hospital has 36 years experience in hospital pharmacy, 21 of those years in rural, critical access hospitals. He has both a Bachelors and Doctorate in pharmacy and has a 14 year history of serving the Benson Hospital district as the hospital’s pharmacist.
