Benson Hospital partners with TMC Hospice to provide care to those in the area who are facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice cares for people with any life-limiting illness after the patient, physician and family decide that aggressive treatment is no longer appropriate. Our goal for hospice care is to provide comfort, support and care to meet the physical, spiritual and physiological needs of people facing the end of life; contribute to the health and well-being of family members; and to help the communities we serve better understand end-of-life issues.

Most of hospice care is delivered in the home setting. But when there is a need for symptom management or respite care, Benson Hospital has inpatient rooms specifically set up for hospice patients, allowing they and their family to get the care and support they need in their community.
